Materials will include woody tree materials, vines, bushes, twigs, and limbs. Compost material- (soft, unbagged, vegetative material) grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, sawdust, and shavings, etc.
Loads Must Be Secure

There will be some minor changes this year. As you recall a $5 fee per load was imposed last year to help offset the costs and that will remain in effect this year.
Huntsville Residents Fees:

Non-Huntsville Residents Fees:
$10.00 per load (single axel truck or trailer)
$40.00 per ton

The town of Huntsville has received a Utah Community Forestry Partnership grant to be used for the initial grinding and mulching of woody, tree materials. Much of the cost associated with the grinding is related to the transportation of the grinding equipment. Thus, it is more cost effective to have a larger supply of woody material.

To that end, the Huntsville Green Waste Facility will allow woody tree material (tree limbs, vines, bushes, trees, twigs) to be dumped free of charge during normal hours from June 1 – 20, 2010.

Soft compost material such as leaves and grass clippings will be charged the normal rate.
Loads must be separated (woody tree material separate from soft compost material) and only loads of woody tree material will be dumped free of charge.

The simplest way to purchase a pass is to include a check for $20 payable to Huntsville Town with your Water payment. Be sure to specify you would like to purchase a Dump Pass and include your return address. Alternatively, you may pick one up at the Town Hall when staff members are there, typically several days a week in the mornings. Call ahead to ensure someone is there. Call 801-745-3420."Huntsville town residents must show proof of residency or property ownership inside Town limits to qualify for discounted dumping rates. Acceptable documentation includes a drivers license, Huntsville water bill, or Property tax notice."

Landfill Changes:
Perhaps the biggest change is that we are conducting a test by allowing users throughout the Valley the opportunity to dump their green waste at the Huntsville Green Waste Disposal Facility. Out of town users will pay a bit more than those within the boundaries of incorporated Huntsville Town, but with the dump card they will essentially get one free day of dumping (5 days for the price of 4). Out of town users will pay $10/load for a single axle truck or trailer, or $40/ton. Since there is no scale, the dump manager will estimate the size of the load, and the dump employee will have the final say. Out of town users may purchase a five punch dump pass for $40. The pass can be used from year to year, but is not transferable. Additionally, the pass gives you five days of dumping, not just five loads.
